Event Policy

Welcome to Sydney’s Family Game Day! We’re excited to bring families and friends together for a day of fun, discovery, and community through board games. To help ensure everyone has a safe and enjoyable experience, we’ve put together a few important policies.

1. Code of Conduct

We are committed to creating a welcoming, inclusive, and respectful environment for all attendees. By attending this event, you agree to:

  • Be kind, respectful, and considerate of others.
  • Use appropriate language and behaviour.
  • Respect the rules of games and the space provided.
  • Follow the instructions of event staff and volunteers.

Harassment, discrimination, or disruptive behaviour will not be tolerated. We reserve the right to ask anyone violating this code to leave the event without refund.

2. Supervision of Children

Children under 12 must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times. While our volunteers will be on hand to help with games, guardians are responsible for the safety and behaviour of the children they bring.

3. Health & Safety

  • Please stay home if you or your children are feeling unwell.
  • Hand sanitiser will be available throughout the venue.
  • We will follow any public health guidance in place on the day of the event.

4. Food & Drink

Snacks and drinks may be available for purchase. You are welcome to bring your own food, but please keep all food and drinks away from game tables and components.

5. Photos & Media

We may take photos and videos during the event for promotional purposes (e.g. website, social media). If you do not wish to be photographed or recorded, please let a staff member know at check-in.

6. Tickets & Refunds

  • All tickets must be purchased through our official ticketing platform.
  • Tickets are non-refundable except in the case of event cancellation or at our discretion for exceptional circumstances.

7. Game Care

Many of the games at the event are provided by volunteers or are community-owned. Please treat all game components with care and return them in the condition you received them.
